1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Evently (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of service

Evently is a community announcements platform that helps people in Dubai discover and share local posts — including community gatherings, cultural events, dining, wellness sessions, business networking, education, family activities, sports, and volunteering. Evently is a platform for announcements and discovery; it is not the organiser of every event listed.

3. Eligibility

You must be the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction (or the minimum age required by the applicable app store) to use the App. By using Evently, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at evently.support@gmail.com of any unauthorised use.

5. User content and posts

You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting content, you grant Evently a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content within the App and in connection with operating and promoting the service.

You are solely responsible for your content and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to post it (including any images of people, venues, or trademarks).

6. Prohibited content

You agree not to post content that:

• is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading;
• is hateful, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory;
• is sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate;
• infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• promotes violence, illegal activity, or unsafe gatherings;
• contains spam, scams, or commercial solicitations outside of approved features;
• impersonates another person or organisation.

7. Community guidelines

Evently is intended to be a respectful, locally-relevant community board. Keep posts clear, accurate, and useful for people in Dubai. Treat other users with consideration.

8. Moderation and removal

We may, at our discretion, review, reject, remove, edit, or limit the visibility of any post that we believe violates these Terms or our community guidelines, or that we otherwise consider inappropriate for the App. We may also limit accounts that repeatedly violate the rules.

9. Reports

Users can report posts they believe violate the Terms. Reports are reviewed by our moderators or admins. Submitting reports in bad faith may itself violate these Terms.

10. Featured / paid promotion

Evently may offer Featured placements that increase a post's visibility within the App. Featured placement helps reach but does not guarantee attendance, sign-ups, sales, revenue, or any specific outcome. Featured posts are still subject to these Terms and our community guidelines.

Where paid promotion is offered, it may be made available through in-app purchase. Pricing, refund policy, and availability may vary by platform and are governed by the applicable app store's terms.

11. No guarantee of attendance or results

Evently does not guarantee that any post will be seen by a particular number of users, that any event will be attended, or that any goal of the post will be achieved.

12. User responsibility for events and announcements

Users who post events or announcements are solely responsible for the events themselves, including safety, permits, suitability for participants, accuracy of information, and compliance with applicable law. Users who attend events participate at their own risk and are responsible for their own decisions.

Evently is not the organiser of events listed by users and does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any event or announcement.

13. Intellectual property

The Evently name, logo, design, and the App itself are owned by Evently and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App except as expressly permitted.

14. Privacy

Your use of Evently is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

15. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Evently at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if continued access could harm other users or the service.

16. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. While we work to support a respectful community, we make no warranty that any content, user, or event is accurate, safe, or suitable for you.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evently and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of Evently after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
